Trade Services Export Services Import Services Guarantees Value Added Services Packing Credit Advances This is pre-shipment finance granted against an Irrevocable DC or a contract. A limit can be set up within the general facility under which the Bank is prepared to advance money to the customer. This aids the customer's cash flow in the purchasing of goods to fulfill the terms and conditions set out in the DC/Contract. Negotiation This is post-shipment finance whereby exporters, after submitting documents required under a DC, can request us to negotiate/discount the bills presented. The provision of liquidity against shipping documents improves the working capital position of the company. Documentary Credit Advising We advise documentary credits, local as well as foreign, and their amendments to our export customers. Documentary Collection Instead of sending documents direct to the overseas buyer on open account, an exporter can choose to send documents through the bank as a Bill for Collection. Export documents are given to the bank and sent to our local office or a correspondent in the country/city where the importer is situated. We, as a collecting bank will endeavor to obtain payment and/or acceptance on behalf of the exporter. SBP ERF We offer full SBP Export Refinance Services (I and II) to our valued customers. Factoring Factoring is offered as a supplementary product to our existing range of trade finance products and is designed to cater to the needs of clients who sell on open account terms. Factoring comprises three basic services: - Sales ledger management where we monitor and collect our clients' debts - Credit protection where we assume the buyers' credit risk - Financing of receivables from delivery to receipt of payment from the buyer Transfer of Export DCs The beneficiary of a transferable DC can ask the bank to transfer the DC in the name of another beneficiary. This transfer can be without substitution, in which the original DC is not changed, or it can be with substitution, in which the original beneficiary can change the terms and conditions of the underlying DC.
